This video at first glance looks like a static ridden over exposed attempt at videography. But when studied and understood it can be the most beautiful piece of "modern" art interpretation.
I noticed how bright my room was the other night and then looked out the window to find a massive full moon. My focus lately is on the video process of everyday and sometimes mundane tasks/observations.
When i stared at the moon for a while it became almost common and too familiar, which on a larger scale is totally unreal because in reality it's a natural satellite that is part of gigantic solar system and the last thing it could ever be, was familiar.
View the video and try and grasp this:
"The string theory" - A concept that states the theory of "superstrings" are loops of energy, microscopically small that constantly vibrate and wobble... Like worms. All strings act differently, creating colour, solid mass etc etc... It's a MASSIVE subject that professionals can barely explain... Have a good read of it here.
Anyway, enough babble. I figured that this video is my artistic representation of the theory. Instead of viewing the noise as static, they are the superstrings and the fact that the light bounced off the moon dims in certain sections allows the strings to vibrate more and become more apparent.
I also love how you presume the light is the moon without having seen the moon in the first few minutes. Then part way through the clouds cover it to shadow the light and allow the circular line of the lunar sphere to show itself.
