My festive season break has been concentrated on food, food & more food! Since moving to university one thing i appreciate more is the price and overall factor of food. The hard hitting facts of poverty and homelessness in London bring the subject of food to the forefront of my mind each time i walk home from university or get the tube.
This glorious mushroom soup was made by my good friend for a warm night in around a wood fire playing board games and drinking mulled wine! It makes me miss my wonderful flat mate back in London who has a delightful talent when it comes to culinary experimentation!
Roll on the new year and all of it's scrumptious treats that it awaits!
p.s: one of my resolutions for the new year is to not use flash, this photograph is the starting point for me. The deep earth tones reflect the gorgeous flavours that grew in the mushroom and that later, made me feel very full and yummy!
